Welcome to the Business Operations Department.  This department is responsible for managing the Finances, Food Services, Buildings & Grounds, Technology and Transportation.

TEACHER RETIREMENT FUNDING

It is mandatory that all teachers contribute to the Massachusetts Teacher Retirement System. All teachers beginning on or after July 1, 2001, are mandated to contribute 11% of their total yearly earnings to Teacher Retirement. Prior to July 1, 2001, the per cent of contribution varies depending upon the year in which the teacher began contributing to the Teacher Retirement System.

Towns make no matching contributions to the Teacher Retirement System. The Teacher Retirement System invests these monies over time, thus funding the program in its entirety
