Due to FERPA regulations, the Guidance Department is not permitted to release personal student information (like rank/GPA) over the phone or email. All requests for such information must be made in person.

Naviance

Mansfield High School has added new support to help your student find the right course, career and school.

NAVIANCE, also known as Family Connections, is a web-based resource that supports course, career, and college planning. The guidance staff at MHS is going to pilot this program with the class of 2008 in hopes of expanding communication, organization and college search functions.

NAVIANCE has been designed specifically to meet the needs of our students and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this program!

WorkspaceK12 includes a powerful Web service for parents and students. Known as Family Connection, this service provides extensive, advertising-free services that Mansfield can customize to meet our unique needs.

Here are just a few things that can be done with Family Connection:

	Conduct custom on-line surveys of parents and students
	Publish scholarship information and matching tools
	Post a schedule of visits by college representatives
	Share personalized status information about college applications
	Maintain a journal of interactions with parents and students
	Build multi-year plans and accept on-line course requests
