Concert Choir
Student Officers
Officers
will meet in the choir room with Mrs. Newton every other
Monday during fourth lunch and after school when necessary.
You must be willing to commit some time after school
and/or in the evening to accomplish some of the duties listed
below. If you are
interested in being a leader and want to be a Choir Officer,
prepare a short speech regarding your qualifications and
present it to the choir on Monday, September 17th.
Choir members will vote on who they think will be most
effective.
President
Duties include - head up fundraising efforts and
assist in organizing field trips.
This person will also be expected to help back stage
for concert events.
Vice
President Plan choir parties, organize senior gifts,
and assist Mrs. Newton with paperwork, and help out backstage
during concert events.
Secretary
Take notes at meetings; write notices to choir and parents
when necessary and assist Mrs. Newton with typing concert
programs as well as help out backstage during concert events.
Treasurer
Collect and organize fundraising money.
Collect money for parties and senior gifts, and help
out backstage during concert events.
Publicist
Write articles regarding MHS Performing Arts Department
upcoming events and send them to the school and community
newspapers. Arrange
interviews with newspapers, Scoop, and local cable company.
Coordinate the hanging of posters around the school
district and downtown area to promote upcoming theatrical and
choir events.
Photographer
Take pictures of students involved in MHS Performing
Arts productions, choir rehearsals and performing arts
activities. Give
photos to scrap book coordinator and publicist.
Scrap
book coordinator Arrange photos and newspaper articles
into a creatively decorated scrapbook to be completed by the
end of the year.
Program/T-shirt
Designer- Design program covers for all Concert Choir
concerts and the fall play.
This person must have graphic design experience.
