Additional vocal opportunities – for the serious singer

Select Choir -   A small choir made up of twelve to fifteen singers who will sing advanced choral music.  We will meet every Tuesday evening from 7-8:30pm in the Choir room and section leaders will meet with their section twice per week for forty five minutes at an agreed time.  This group will be featured at the MHS Holiday Concert, Cabaret Night and Pops Night.  Members will have the opportunity to participate in the Tri-County Music Festival in January.  Singers must have a good sense of pitch and the ability to sing harmony, and blend.  Members must attend all rehearsals and are expected to practice on their own.  Auditions for Select Choir are open to all MHS students and will be held in the choir room on Monday, September 17th from 2-3:30pm.   The audition song is “The Star Spangled Banner”.  Vocalists should learn two voice parts and be prepared to sing each vocal line independently while singing with other vocalists on other voice parts.
