Industrial control technology has affected you probably
more than any other generation. Can you imagine life without TV,
recorded music, computer games and washing machines? These examples
of domestic technology have been made possible because of the developments
which have taken place in the manufacturing industry.
You will learn about the move to Industrialization and
then automation. You will also learn about the advances in computer
control and how large companies automatically produce high volume products
cheap enough for everyone to be able to afford.
In this module, you will use a model manufacturing system,
controlled by your computer, to monitor and manipulate components.
