At QMS, our mission is to prepare our students for success in high school and beyond. We believe that success depends upon more than being proficient in the academic subjects of Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. The special subjects round out the education of our young people, improve their cognition, and equip them with life skills that will help them in the future.

With the exception of the Band and Orchestra programs, special subject courses run for half an academic term. Students take Physical Education twice each year, and all other courses once each year. Students enroll in Band or Orchestra for the full year and have their rehearsal time mixed in with other special subject courses.
