IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
TO
KNOW AT QMS
Telephones:
Office phones may be used for important calls only.
CELL PHONES MAY NOT BE USED IN
THE BUILDING.
Parents:
Please do not communicate with your child by means of a
cell phone (including text messaging) during the school day.
Students are not permitted to use their cell phones from 7:25
am – 1:50 pm. If there is an emergency and you must contact
your child, please call the main office at 508-261-7530 and we
will relay the message.
Hallway Doors:
All doors to the hallways are locked at 4:00 pm Monday
through Friday.
Visitor Sign-In Policy
:
The QMS Visitor Policy requires that all visitors MUST
sign-in at the Main Office and obtain a QMS Visitor Badge.
Your cooperation with this policy is greatly appreciated.
Classroom Interruptions:
We really try to have as few classroom interruptions
as possible. If your child calls and needs you to bring
something to school (i.e. lunch, homework), please tell your
child you will drop it off in the office and to check for the
item there.
Dismissals:
If you are going to be dismissed from school, you must
bring a note to your homeroom teacher who will then send you
to the office with it. This note must be written by your
parent/guardian. At the time of your dismissal, you must
report to the office to check out before leaving the building.
In lieu of a note, you may also be dismissed if your
parent/guardian comes into the office and signs you out.
Extended Absences:
If your child is going to be out of school for an extended
period of time due to illness or other family obligations,
please make sure the Team Liaison is aware. This will ensure a
smooth transition when the child returns to school.
Bus Passes:
If you are a paying bus rider, you must have your official
bus pass with you at all times. Laminating the pass is a good
idea.
Late Bus:
There will be only one late bus this
year. It will leave between 3:00-3:15PM, Monday through
Friday. Students will need to show their bus pass in
order to ride the late bus. Students need to have their
bus passes with them at all times.
Bus Safety:
Riding the bus is an extension of the classroom. There is
no eating or drinking allowed on the bus. All students must be
seated and hands and feet must be kept out of the aisle.
Musical instruments must fit under the seat. Failure to follow
these bus policies could jeopardize your child’s right to
ride the bus.
