The
Roland Green Preschool is the Special Needs preschool program
of the Mansfield Public Schools. Any child from age
three to five years who has special needs is serviced at the
Roland Green. Typical children also attend our school to
serve as peer models.
Currently, the Roland Green
Preschool consists of eight classrooms with a staff of thirty that includes teachers, teaching assistants,
therapists, and support staff. Most of our classes have
ten to twelve children with a teacher and a teaching
assistant. We can have up to fifteen children in each
class.
Our preschool is closely linked
with the Kindergarten program at the Robinson School. We
begin the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, which is
continued throughout the school system. Our program is
individualized and developmentally appropriate.
We begin to take referrals for
peer models in January. Parents are encouraged to put
their child's name on our list in January. Developmental
screenings take place in February. For more information
please call (508) 261-1561.
The
Roland Green Preschool is now accepting applications for peer
role models for the 2008-2009 school year. Interested parents should
contact the school at 508-261-1561 to request an
application form and a peer role model screening.

5)
Cutting skills are age appropriate.
6)
