Early Intervention is a system of services for children ages 0-3 years old.  The Early Intervention Guide (see link below) includes information to help families understand how Early Intervention can benefit their children if they might be behind in development, as well as how to apply.  The Guide helps families with the following:

• Learn how Early Intervention can help their child and their family

• Apply through local agency

• Get an evaluation to see if their child qualifies

• Create a good plan of services

• Know what to expect when their child turns 3 and transitions to special education services
