Welcome to the Office of Teaching and Learning.  One of our goals is the purposeful use of technology to not only personalize learning, but also to extend and amplify learning well beyond the walls of our classrooms.  Our "learning first" approach means we believe technology is a lever for deeper learning and greater student agency within our schools. 

Our Team:  

Protecting student data privacy is a priority at Mansfield Public Schools.  While using innovative digital resources, we want to ensure the privacy and security of our students' information.  We have partnered with the Massachusetts Student Privacy Alliance and The Education Cooperative (TEC) to assist us in securing Data Privacy Agreements for vendors that collect student data containing personally identifiable information (PII). 

The Data Privacy Agreement requires vendors to:

• Follow the laws protecting student data privacy - CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, and PPRA.

• Ensure the school district retains ownership of all student data regardless of where the data is stored.

• Provide the school district with notification of any data breach within a specific time period.

• Not resell or use student information for any purpose other than the service it was intended.

• Ensure best practices are being followed for data privacy and data security.
